So, ya, there is obviously a conspiracy that targets me going on. For the past two days, due to work and other commitments, I have not been able to get on WoW till 7:30 EST or later. And, yes, I know that some people do not get more than an hour a day, but when you are used to playing a minimum of four hours a day, this is a big deal. And, not only is there a conspiracy affecting my play time, it affects my blog posts. Instead of posting about something I thought about (speculations on WoTLK, the WoW anniversary, the new 10 million subscription count) I feel it necessary to whine about my own personal WoWoes (I thought that up all by my big boy self!) And so, after almost 150 words, I present to you:

The Blizzard/Soviet Conspiracy to Prevent Gidge From Getting his WoW Fix:

Step One-Create Money: Yes, Blizzard (and the communists?!..odd I know) created money. This money means that I need to collect it (they based it on Pokemon) so I can get cool rewards (+5 to heat in winter is an awesome enchant.)

Step Two-Create Responsibilities: This actually was not created by Blizzard, but I am pretty sure the communists are the ones behind all the commitments and responsibilities I have had to live up to recently.

Step Three-Cause Chemical Reactions to Happen in the Body: Yes, this is true. The communists and Mike Morheim want you to have to do silly things like eat to be able to function.

Step Four-Hygiene: DAMN YOU SOAP

Step Five-Take Down the Servers both Tuesday and Wednesday Between the Times of 8 and 9 thirty: Seriously, out of 10 million players, Blizzard (with cooperation from Mother Russia) is specifically targeting me when they INTENTIONALLY take their servers.

And so, once all of these events unfold, I just cannot wait for the servers to come back up, because of the previous events mentioned. So, I go get a book and read. And this really irks me, because my guild has decided to start doing Kara (we are all rerolls and we have only been on the server for 2 months or so) in a couple of weeks, and I need to get to 70 and get gear. However, when the servers go down, I am simply not motivated enough to wait. And, ya, that’s my story.

Just a Note: The conspiracy was a joke, I am perfectly aware that it is all coincidence, and I think Russia is a really awesome and very large country. Don’t want any getting their panties in a knot.

Level 70 Plans

So, yup. figured I might as well post my plans for when I hit level 70.

1) Get the arena S1 shield. Working on that now, more on that later

2) Farm up 7k gold. Yes everyone, I am aware this is a lot of gold. However, i figure with the two gathering profs I currently have, I can farm up this ammount of gold with enough time. I figure 5k for flyign mount, 2k to just save and use for general expenses.

3) Level up Engineering for the amazing tanking helm

4) Level cook and fish

5) And ..ya..i really should have put get full S1 arena gear, but whatever

And so thats pretty much it. Also, just figured I would inform you all about some of my plans this weekend. Gonna put leveling on hold for a little bit, currently doing AV, and getting honor for the aforementioned shield. Other than that, tomorrow I have about 2 to 3 hours of work to do. That wont be too bad, and then the Patriots game is on. And, once that is done, I’ll get on at about 7 or 8, and play WoW. I know, I am sad. I hope you all have a nice long weekend.

More slacking and Better Barrens Chat

So…ya, as I have said many times, I am a slacker. I am not only terrible at consistantly posting stuff to my blog, but this week I have also been terrible at actually playing World of Warcraft, or any games in general. It is not even that I have been dooing something exciting or important, just general slacking but, ya. I hit 64 in WoW on tuesday if i remember correctly. And, since then, I have not leveled much. Ill talk about my plans for 70 and other such things, but tonight I present to you something that has been in my head for the past two days.

10 Ways To Make Barrens Chat Better:

1) Please use your brain. Seriously, if nobody wants to hear it, there is no reason to say it. And i know this is a point that has been made many times, but a list isn’t a list without a cliche or an overused piece of advice.

2) Please make less quests in Barrens. Seriosly, there are far too many quests in this damn zone. And, while yes, this is a good thiing in some ways, people are in this zone, and far too many people go to the zone

3) Please add a new zone for the tauren to feed into. Two races feed directly into the Barrens, and this is a problem.

4) Increase the Tiristfal glades quests. While there are plenty of quests here, it is still quite usual to see people go from the Sepulcher to CR.

5) Please create an IQ test for this zone. In all honestly, people lacking a slightly above average capacity fot thinking should only be allowed in this zone. Actually, even better, make it so it judges the character of the person, not the inteligence, so that we can make sure that they dont make jokes about…

6) Chuck Norris. I love you Chuck (I saw the Mountain Dew commercial.)

7) and, on that matter, Chuck, you really gotta get a hand on this stuff. You shouldn’t let people say you moved the world while doing the push up. Make sure they have to say one handed push ups.

8 ) No body cares where Mankirk’s wife is, because everyone already knows

9) Level one orc warriors. Please stop inviting me to your group to spam gold adds at me. It actually makes Barrens chat seem decent.

10) Blizzard, for the love of god, blow up Barrens.

I havent been in the Barrens for a while, but my friend (Hais matt) whines about it all the time, so I thought I would post this..ya..pretty much..

Ding 60, I Am a Slacker, and other stuff

So, as the post says, my warrior hit 60. I got my epic mount and i’m in outlands, having a good time. I continue to enjoy both the Horde and the PvP. Dragonmaw, from my experience, is a great server and has some good people in it. Haven’t gotten a chance to run any of the Outlands instances on my warrior yet, but I plan on trying to get a pug tonight, but ya, its a good time. Next, I need to apologize for my lack of posts. The holidays got me very busy, and I have been pretty glued to WoW. Then, going back to school, I have had midterms, so ya, crazy times. That brings me to my third point, and one of the reasons I am here posting this. It is patch day! Fun times *sigh*. Pretty sure that 2.3.2 isn’t going to be that big, patch notes dont look like much is getting changed. Well, blizzard original said 2 EST, now its 3 EST, hopefully the servers will be up soon.

Ding 40, And Other Odds and Ends

Sorry for the latness of this post, had a big paper to write for tommorow, and it took longer than expected. So, I hit forty, and it is good times. My warrior now has his mount (and still has plenty of gold too) and Mortal Strike. So ya, I am actually really pumped. Over Christmas break, gonna try and shoot up to 50, but I am not going to make any guarentees. So, as I promised in my post yesterday, I will now provide info about where you can find me in WoW, and other such things. First off, you can find me on the Dragonmaw server, character name Gidgeyet. So…ya

So, as I do not yet know my readership, I figured it might be helpful to provide some basic tips. Now, level 40 is when you get your mount. And, unless you are a warlock or paladin, it is likely you are wondering how you are going to get enough money. And, since I am completely unoriginal, I am going to give you the same advice everyone else does! Firstly, I will divulge how I got my mount money: luck. Yup, I got a blue twink item that I sold for 50 gold. I also earned another 100 gold by mining and skinning. I could have probably made a lot more than this, but I was focussed on leveling. So, what I would recommend is, well, to pick up mining and skinning. These materials are constantly needed, and copper sells on most servers for 1 gold a stack. So, go get mining. Second, I would like to recommend knowing when the auction house is going to explode. And, shockingly folks, this does not require a five year index on the auction house history. All this requires is a basic knowledge of holiday quests, and some good planning. For example, while it is too late this year, it is always a grand idea to farm eggs for the Winter Vale quest. And, also, when you get to higher levels, attempt to anticipate the release of a new arena season, load up on enchanting mats, and sell for a profit. I hope these quick tips help, but basically the trick is, not to be cliche, sell everything that is not necessary: vendor all your greys, and sell every singly white or better item you get. O, and download auctioneer, and spend at least 10 minutes a day playing the auction house, if you are smart, it can only help you.

O, by the way, this isn’t my best post, I am really excited about dinging forty, and also really tired, so forgive me if my post is unclear, just kinda felt like I had to get something up. I plan on putting more in depth guides on money making and such as I go. Also, I will be updating the about page tomorrow, so look there for info. I also plan to start a podcast page, which will just contain a list of podcasts I recommend. I will post at least one thing (code for im not sure what I am going to write about) tomorrow. Also, I will begin working on my guide that will be entitled “Restarting WoW.” or something original like that. Sorry for the poor quality of this post, and happy holidays.

Hello everybody. I think I am clever, and as such, have given my blog a clever name (clever, I know.) Now, in all seriousness, this is my third attempt at a blog, the first being closed because it sucked, the second due to crazy real life drama, and now there is this one. This blog, as my clever (see above) name might suggest, will be, for the most part, about WoW. It will, in all likelihood, also contain random rants about thigns just as inconsistent, and stuff (a very broad term, because I do not feel specific) about other video games. I plan to attempt (with an emphasis on attempt) to update this site at least once a day. Famous last words, I know, I probably will not hold true to this, but you cannot blame a guy for trying. I will post again, schedule allowing, tomorrow, when I ding 40 (yes, only 40, but we will get more into that tomorrow) on my new warrior in WoW.
